RadFlix began with a simple, stubborn belief: the most frightening minutes of a child's week shouldn't have to be frightening at all. We build the technology — and the mission behind it — to make that true in every treatment room.

Our mission

Dignity is the treatment we never want a kid to go without.

During radiation, children are at their most vulnerable — alone, separated from their parents, surrounded by machines in a dark room. For the youngest, that often means daily anesthesia just to get through it.

RadFlix changes the room. By letting a child watch their own movie during treatment, we replace dread with something they can look forward to — reducing anxiety, reducing sedation, and giving families back a small piece of normal. We won't stop until every center can offer it.

Our founding organization

RadFlix exists because of a mission bigger than a movie.

RadFlix was founded by The Morgan Adams Foundation — a nonprofit that funds the kids'-cancer research too early or too bold for the big funders to back yet.

MAF was founded by Joan and Steven Adams after the loss of their daughter, Morgan. Their seed and bridge grants move promising ideas toward clinical trials faster — and RadFlix is one of them: an idea about childhood and dignity, now in treatment rooms with real kids.

Doug Holt, MD

Co-founder · Radiation Oncologist

Trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering and chief resident at the University of Colorado, Doug specializes in VMAT, SRS, SBRT and complex brachytherapy. His obsession with the patient experience earned him the ACCC Innovator of the Year award — and led him to co-create RadFlix. He treats patients in Idaho Falls, ID and Jackson Hole, WY.

Brian Miller, PhD, DABR

Co-founder · Medical Physicist

A medical physicist and optical scientist (PhD, University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences), Brian engineers the science that makes RadFlix robust and radiation-safe. He practices clinical medical physics at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson and founded QScint Imaging Solutions.

Heather Roy

Executive Director · US & Canada

Heather leads RadFlix across both countries, bringing deep nonprofit experience in childhood-cancer charities — and a personal one: she walked her own daughter through a neuroblastoma diagnosis. A behavioural scientist by training and a Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal recipient, she advocates for better treatments and mental-health support for kids and families.

Joan Slaughter

Executive Director · Morgan Adams Foundation

Joan is Morgan's mother. After losing her daughter to childhood cancer, she and her late husband founded the Morgan Adams Foundation in her name. Today she channels that mission into funding pediatric cancer research — and partners like RadFlix. She serves on the Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation Philanthropy Council and chairs the Colorado Kids' Cancer Association.
